Most coaching is delivered weekly over a 12-week period.
Coaching is primarily delivered online.
No. Coaching is not diagnosis, treatment or prescribing. Where medical care is required, that sits with the appropriate treating clinician.
The work is designed for leaders, professionals and former athletes who want a more disciplined and sustainable approach to health, energy and performance.
Gareth’s work draws more heavily on endurance, discipline, self-governance and leadership. Dr Thiri’s work draws more heavily on medicine, neuroscience and sustainable behaviour change. Both are delivered within coaching scope.
No. The work is relevant to any client who needs better health practice, stronger routines and more reliable decisions under pressure.
The Ishi Spiral is a discipline of self-governance created by Gareth Holebrook. It helps people govern intent under pressure through four phases: Decide, Forge, Persist and Reflect. Its purpose is not optimisation. Its purpose is to stop pressure, fatigue and urgency from repeatedly rewriting what matters. It is explained in Ishi: The Discipline of Determined Intent.
More information about Ishi can be found at www.ishi.co.nz.
Intent-Based Leadership is a leadership model developed by former US Submarine Commander L.David Marquet. It focuses on creating clarity of intent, distributing control and building teams that think, act and take responsibility rather than waiting for instruction. Gareth Holebrook has worked with David Marquet’s material for five years and it has materially shaped his approach to leadership, coaching and self-governance.
